Secure wireless internet is available throughout the hotel, one wireless USB adapter is available for loan, A secure 26 digit passcode is needed to gain access into the wireless connection (this is provided on request).

We are sorry if this disappoints any guests but due to legislation laid down by the new law and general operations of the hotel the decision is made to make smoking illegal at St Annes Hotel.

There is no designated smoking area at any part of the hotel.

All Rooms are En-suite with shower facilities, the rooms have remote control colour TVs with Freeview digital channels. All rooms have complimentary tea and coffee facilities. All rooms are non smoking.

4 of the 5 single rooms have 4' double beds instead of the typical 3' single beds.

The beach and sea are visible from a few of the rooms, we do not class these as 'sea views'

Travel North on the M11 until Junction 9 [A11].  After about 10-12 miles the A11 turns into the A14 for the Newmarket Bypass.  Keep awake because……after about five miles you will need to take the left slip road for the A11 sign-posted Norwich.
After a further 40 miles you will reach the Norwich Bypass, the A47, as it passes over the A11 at the ‘Thickthorn’ Roundabout.  You will now need to travel on the A47 east in the direction of Great Yarmouth.
Do not continue into Norwich!....
Now follow the directions from Norwich.

Directions from Midlands

From the midlands you can get to the east coast via 2 routes, either the A14 or the A17 dependant up where you are.

If using the A14, head towards Cambridge then on towards Norwich, from the A14 take the A11 sign posted Norwich, After a further 40 miles you will reach the Norwich Bypass, the A47, as it passes over the A11 at the ‘Thickthorn’ Roundabout.  You will now need to travel on the A47 east in the direction of Great Yarmouth.

From Newark, use the A17 towards Kings Lynn then take the A47 towards Norwich, from Norwich, take the A47 Southern Bypass East, signposted Acle & Great Yarmouth.

            Directions from Norwich:

From Norwich, take the A47 Southern Bypass East, signposted Acle & Great Yarmouth.
At Acle turn right at the large roundabout signposted Great Yarmouth. You then travel for 8 miles on the "Acle Straight".
As you approach Great Yarmouth you will see the Vauxhall Holiday Caravan Park on your left hand side.
 

At the roundabout go straight across, come to the next roundabout and again go straight across, over a set of lights and pedestrian crossing, a hundred metres or so and you will be at another set of traffic lights, turn left at these lights into St Nicholas road signposted for the Seafront, Sainsbury's is on your left. At the next set of traffic lights go straight across into Euston Road,  take the next left into Wellesley Road and then the first Right into Albemarle Road, St Annes Hotel is the second hotel on the right.

If you have any difficulty in finding us, head for the seafront, get to the area where the arcades and piers are, drive along keeping the sea on the right hand side, you will see the Hollywood cinema in front of you, the road goes to the left side of the cinema. at the junction turn right and at the mini roundabout turn left and then left again.

If you come into Great Yarmouth from Caister, follow the signs for the Great Yarmouth Race Course which is in Jellicoe Road, go across the roundabout, up and down the hill, turn right at the T junction,  drive along the seafront with the sea on the left. on the left you will see a large car park and some tennis courts, at this point on the right hand side you will see Albemarle Road - Turn right and the hotel is up and on the left hand side, if you get as far as the mini round about, turn around and take the first on the left.

REMEMBER, THE HOTEL ENTRANCE IS IN ALBEMARLE ROAD. 

 

             Travelling by Rail:

             From London

The London British Rail station for East Anglia is Liverpool Street Station. To get to Yarmouth "Vauxhall" station, you will need to change at Norwich.
London trains to Norwich usually leave Liverpool Street Station 30-minutes-past-the-hour from platform 9 or 10 and normally take 100 minutes. You should then allow a further half hour for a connecting train to Yarmouth.

Directions from Train Station

When you leave the train station, look to the right and you will see a metal footbridge, use this to cross the river, once across the river look to the left and you will see 'Staples', walk towards the store, crossing the road. keep walking away from the station and walk to the left side of 'Staples' into Fullers Hill, you will walk past  some traffic lights with the Market place car park with a few pubs on the right.. Keep walking until you come to a set of traffic lights where Sainsbury's is on the left, cross the road and head into St Nicholas Road towards the Seafront. Once past Sainsbury's and  petrol station you will come to another set of traffic lights, continue straight across into Euston Road, turn left into Wellesley Road and then right into Albemarle Road, St Annes Hotel is the 2nd property on the right. Approx. walking time 10 - 15 minutes.

Take a taxi from the train station, approx. time 3 - 4 minutes.

At St Annes we take your Health and Safety seriously.

 

We achieved the maximum 5 stars under the new Food Hygiene Certification Scheme. The inspection was carried out by  Great Yarmouth Borough Council Environmental Health Dept.

St Annes is fitted with a full L1 fire alarm system, this has detectors and sounders in every area of the premises and will sound in every room if the fire alarm is activated. The system is serviced 6 monthly.

The hotel has a full fire certificate issued by Norfolk Fire Services as well as a detailed fire risk assessment.

All electric appliances are checked annually with PAT testing certification.

The water tanks are cleaned and water system is chlorinated annually.

British gas service and certificate the hot water and heating boiler annually.
